i feel like a lot of folks on this site intentionally misunderstand trans men when they talk abt their experiences online
a lot of ppl here dont seem to realize tht we’re often seen as trans before we’re seen as men, and cis ppl don’t see it both ways.
and a lot of times it feels like theres a pressure for us to keep quiet abt our oppression bc there’s a disconnect between how we’re seen online versus irl, because irl we’re often seen as “women who want to be men”, which is transphobic, while online (usual) lack of transphobia within our circles makes ppl forget tht we’re still oppressed for being trans to the point where a lot of discussion gets taken as “you think you’re oppressed for being a man” rather than “you are oppressed for being trans, and you experience a very specific form of transphobia tht is exclusive to trans men, so you want to talk abt it”.
