It really does irritate me when people act as tho characters have autonomy like their entire world isn’t handmade by the author who chooses their behavior and environment and every aspect of their being!! Explaining why bad things are okay within the confines of the fictional world is pointless bc the problem isn’t with the characters it’s with the author!!!
