holly dawnson
Basically, after the war in which the humans managed to wipe out their entire species, beings started to rise from the remnants of the world. The first was Virginia, Queen of the gods and the Lady of War. She represented the post-magic human world, and some believe she was the sole survivor. Then there were Malik and Nuka, Malik repaired the earth while Nuka cleared the sky and created the underworld. And the gods kept popping up like that.
The gods arenât always seen in a religious way, as some, like Colin and Dahlia, practise religions unrelated to them. They see the gods as more magical beings than witches, but not holy. (Colin is Jewish and Dahlia is Muslim, btw)
The witches powers do come from the gods however, unless someone, perhaps some Boss Person kinda like a Main Bad Guy, found a alternate way to gain power, such as from Other Witches. The witches donât choose what powers they get, theyâre naturally drawn to those things.

I’ve come for
Blood blood blood
And I’m not leaving till I
Have your heart
You’re going to pay for all that you have
Done done done
I’ll feel alive when I have
Blood, your blood
Because revenge is all I haven’t lost

oc aesthetics: where the sun meets the sea
Sing it for the boys
Sing it for the girls
Every time that you lose it sing it for the world
Sing it from the heart
Sing it till you’re nuts
Sing it out for the ones that’ll hate your guts
Sing it for the deaf
Sing it for the blind
Sing about everyone that you left behind
Sing it for the world

Some princes don’t become kings
Even at the best times I’m out of my mind
You only get what you grieve
Are you smelling that shit?
Are you smelling that shit?
